Disappearing Act
"Can make stuff magically disappear, especially if it's got a lot of butter & sugar in it"

Lists
"When I was younger I used to keep all the stuff I had in my pockets. There were a lot of rocks & little shiny things. As I got older it got to be too much to carry & I couldn't remember why I kept it anyway so I finally got rid of it. Now, I make lists"

Appropriate
In my inbox yesterday was Story of the Day #1732:
"she's prepared for almost any transportation mishap, as long as none of them require her to just sit still & think"Very appropriate, considering the timing of the snow, horrible traffic, and my iPod battery died. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get to my first clinic, and I had to just sit and think during my commutes all day. Not my favorite thing ever, especially considering my "funky" state.

Hide and Seek
"I was never good at hide & seek because I'd always make enough noise so my friends would be sure to find me. I don't have anyone to play those games with any more, but now & then I make enough noise just in case someone is still looking & hasn't found me yet."

Story of the Day
"I held out my hands & asked where I could help & somebody grabbed me & pointed me towards the future & said, You've got your work cut out for you & I said, isn't there anything easier? & he laughed & said you could dig around in the past, but it's just busywork & that made perfect sense so I shrugged & started right where I was, along with everyone else"

Saving Up
"saving up a bag full of peak moments she's going to have someday if she can ever get away from all the same old stuff that's holding her back & you can pretty well guess how it's going"

Winter Cure
"he looks fierce mainly because he hates the beginning of winter & the only thing that seems to help is gritting your teeth" - StoryPeople
I get the email of the day from StoryPeople. This was today's, and it is a very appropriate way to describe me this week.

In Case You're Wondering
I love StoryPeople.
My sister introduced me to StoryPeople and has mentioned it in her blog. I get the "Story of the Day" sent to me as well, and I totally love them. Often StoryPeople puts into words what I am thinking or feeling, but just can't express quite so eloquently.
So, in case you're wondering, the footer of my blog is from StoryPeople, and was the runner-up for the title of my blog (so I'm glad that I still found a way to incorporate it). I do love to tell a Good Story, and I'll be telling many here, but I certainly wouldn't want anyone to read into them too much. *wink*
